The Difference You Make: The Procurement Associate manages supplier and internal stakeholder relationships and supports key business initiatives across various categories (e.g., Marketing, Human Resources, Consulting). The role promotes procurement policies, practices, and procedures and supports enterprise-wide cost management and efficiency objectives. Position Summary The Procurement Associate supports the Procurement team by managing supplier relationships, partnering closely with internal stakeholders, and driving key sourcing and cost optimization initiatives across the bank. This role influences procurement best practices, executes competitive sourcing RFPs, reviews contracts for risk and compliance, and delivers reporting and insights to management. The candidate will lead supplier management activities, identify cost savings opportunities through spend analysis, support system and process improvements, and help ensure strong governance, documentation, and operational execution within the Procurement team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Operations, Finance, Business - Required
  • 5+ Years Procurement - Required
  • 5+ Years Relevant experience - Required
  • English – Required
  • Procurement and contracting experience
  • Proficient sourcing and procurement knowledge
  • Proficient understanding of business/financial principles
  • Proficient understanding of contract language terms and conditions
  • Proficient MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders, resolve complex issues, and maintain a high standard of service excellence through clear communication, responsiveness, and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute competitive sourcing events (RFPs/RFQs), negotiating with suppliers to drive cost optimization, commercial value, and budget savings.
  • Identify strategic sourcing opportunities through spend analysis, market intelligence, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with management to validate vendor pricing, scope of services, and contract terms to ensure commercial accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Review Third Party Provider contract revisions to confirm compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements, and prepare risk assessment reports with remediation plans as needed.
  • Implement and support procurement systems, process enhancements, and performance management frameworks (including KPIs and compliance metrics) to improve governance, transparency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Influence and promote adoption of enterprise-wide procurement standards, tools, and evolving best practices in partnership with key business lines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and internal resources to deliver sourcing initiatives on time and within scope, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and documentation of requirements.
  • Identify and recommend cost savings and value-enhancement initiatives to procurement leadership.
  • Provide guidance to internal business partners on procurement processes and mentor junior procurement professionals; deliver vendor performance and program reporting to stakeholders and regulators as required.
