About The Position

The indirect Procurement Associate role is an entry-level position supporting category managers and their activities within Insulet’s indirect Procurement organization. This role partners closely with procurement managers and senior team members to execute sourcing initiatives, support supplier relationships, analyze spend and cost data, and ensure effective contract implementation. This position is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build a foundation in procurement, supply chain, and supplier management. The individual will gain exposure to category strategy execution, cross-functional collaboration, and procurement systems while progressively developing sourcing expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 0–2 years of professional experience (internships or co-op experience acceptable)
  • Strong interest in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in utilizing Co-pilot or other AI programs
  • Ability to learn procurement applications
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative and learning-oriented mindset
  • Inquisitive mindset, with the ability to challenge professionally
  • General office environment; may sit for extended periods
  • 2-3 days in our Acton headquarters per week
  • Occasional domestic or international travel up to 10%

  • Previous internship or early career experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Support Procurement Managers in executing sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories. This could include the following categories, professional services, HR, IT, facilities, and marketing.
  • Assist with RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, including data collection, coordination, and analysis
  • Help prepare cost comparisons, bid analyses, and supplier recommendations
  • Support negotiations through research, benchmarking, and documentation preparation
  • Track contract status, compliance requirements, and renewals
  • Support implementation of new contracts
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and escalate issues as needed
  • Collect and analyze spend, cost, and supplier performance data
  • Prepare Excel-based reporting and PowerPoint summaries for stakeholders
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
