About The Position

The Procurement and Production Planning Business Process Owner is responsible for managing and optimizing overall procurement and production processes within the SAP system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing roles.
  • Experience using SAP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning processes and workflows.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Coachable and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate with business users, functional teams, and IT support teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participating with the various implementation teams during the Prairie Farms Family of Companies ERP conversion.
  • Leading applicable workstreams ensuring appropriate system architecture.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and establish processes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in warehouse, production, and procurement workflows.
  • Architecting and designing end-to-end procurement processes. These processes include overseeing material stock levels, creation of purchase orders and management of material flow.
  • Architecting and designing end-to-end process flows to ensure smooth production flow and shop floor procedures, which includes the process of aligning demand with manufacturing capacity to create production and procurement schedules while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Driving product discussions focusing on user adoption and support training.
  • Facilitating business process engineering sessions to improve procurement and production workflows.
  • Managing and resolving incidents related to SAP Procurement and Plan to Produce modules.
  • Identifying and facilitating resolution of SAP system issues and inefficiencies.
  • Providing training and support to end-users.
  • Utilizing tools to create and analyze reports.
  • Dedicating time to perform super user functions, including troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Providing end-user training and assisting with the development of documentation to support SAP proficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Supporting system upgrades and test new functionalities.
