About The Position

The Procurement Coordinator-Field Support plays a key role in improving operational efficiency through data-driven insights, proactive problem-solving, and strong collaboration. This position focuses on regional communication, process streamlining, and training to enhance performance while ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Purchasing, Management or Supply Chain.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or a related area (internships or relevant coursework may be considered).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, the development and interpretation of Excel spreadsheets and presentations utilizing Power Point.
  • Familiarity with SmartSheet or other project planning/collaboration programs.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills; attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to seek guidance when needed.
  • Works proactively to find solutions to operational challenges.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively and actively listen to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Use the established procedures and ServiceNow system to respond to field complaints and credit requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues.
  • Analyze Managed Order Guides (MOGs), product lists and spend data to identify and quantify cost savings opportunities.
  • Managing Order Guides (MOGs) and product lists to maintain compliance.
  • Providing centralized training resources and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Engaging regularly with the field to resolve issues and drive performance improvements.
  • Utilize tools and reporting to promote and communicate cost savings opportunities, redirect rogue spend to approved suppliers and enhance program compliance.
  • Help maintain records of Procurement activities and field communications.
  • Acting as a team player by fostering collaboration across regions.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in regional calls and meetings as a representative of the procurement team, sharing processes, insights, program changes and supporting procurement discussions.
  • Stay informed about food and nutrition procurement regulations and support compliance efforts.
  • Address fluctuating market conditions and potential price increases with regional field leadership by presenting alternative products or purchasing plans outlined by Procurement leadership.
  • Utilize reports provided by Distribution and Compliance to review slow-moving products, dead stock, and auto-shipments to optimize inventory.
  • Distribute regional communications.
  • Administer Procurement program training and onboarding sessions for new units or accounts to ensure effective implementation of established programs.
  • Assist Procurement leadership with communication plans and support field operations during major weather events or natural disasters.
  • Coordinate and collect unit orders for holiday meals, special events and program changes.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Communicate active food recalls to affected units and leadership.
  • Attend regional meetings and trade conferences to stay informed about field needs and industry trends and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
