About The Position

Fareva USA has an immediate opening for a Procurement Analyst position in Morton Grove, IL. The Procurement Analyst reports to the Business Process Manager and plays a vital role in the Fareva Procurement team. The Procurement Analyst will support Procurement USA leadership, the category managers, and the new product development buyer in tracking spend, performance of suppliers, costs, and OTIF metrics. As Fareva is a global company, there will be opportunities to work with and support other Fareva locations around the world. Responsibilities include tracking cost savings projects, continuous improvement activity, and procurement dashboard development and maintenance. The Procurement Analyst will be asked to assist in identifying and assessing sourcing opportunities with supplier relationship management and supplier service levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business analytics, physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics, economics, or finance
  • 0-5 years of experience with business analytics and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (i.e. index match function, pivot table, macros, VBA)
  • Working knowledge of Qlik Sense, Business BI, Tableau, or business analytics software
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise resource planning -- SAP knowledge is preferred
  • Experience with dashboard design and key performance indicators tracking
  • Strong interpersonal skill to collaborate with other functions for collecting data
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, layman terms
  • Demonstrated follow through and self-starter
  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain spend database including attributes that provide insights into our monthly spend and pricing patterns
  • Support monthly Procurement supplier reporting and request category manager/buyer’s reviews for supplier scorecards
  • Spend by supplier/material/family/subfamily
  • Savings
  • Collaborate with the Finance department for analysis and tracking of general expenses and departmental savings
  • Update material price quarterly for the R&D cost estimation tool
  • Track and report monthly on price changes in SAP by category by product for review and update Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports to support Procurement, Operations and Sales
  • Collaborate closely with the France-based corporate Procurement team to ensure alignment between the USA and corporate Procurement’s processes, tools, and data
  • Develop and maintain process to obtain market intelligence on raw material and packaging feed stocks, and assist in providing material price forecasts for internal stakeholder communications and budget planning purposes as required
  • Validate payment terms on the monthly scorecard to enable monthly reports and communicate discrepancies to category managers/buyers
  • Create, analyze and recommend Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for raw & packaging materials monthly
  • Develop and maintain a detailed supplier database including a supplier profile, product offerings, spend history by product (price, quantity, total spend), key feedstock by product, production and distribution center locations
  • Document and maintain a standard operating procedure for all the reports and activities this role is responsible for
  • Support data collection for raw & pack library
  • Create and develop new reporting that supports process improvement and business intelligence
  • Contribute to process improvement work both within and outside of the Procurement department
