About The Position

The Procurement Analyst at KinderCare Learning Companies is responsible for driving the end-to-end procurement process, focusing on in-depth research and analysis of procurement-related data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role collaborates with various functional areas including Facilities, Construction, Center Operations, Education, Marketing, IT, and HR to ensure effective procurement practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance or Business.
  • Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience required, including market research, RFPs, analysis, negotiation, and documenting contracts.
  • Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel skills including formulas, lookups, and interpreting complex datasets.
  • Intermediate MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills including visual elements.
  • Experience running RFPs and negotiating contracts.
  • Intellectual curiosity that drives multi-faceted research and challenges assumptions.
  • Self-starter who handles priorities and anticipates business needs.
  • Knowledge of contracts and key clauses, business terms vs risk and legal.
  • Attention to detail, impeccable organization, and follow through.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze spend to identify opportunities and verify delivery of financial results, presenting analysis simply with actionable insights.
  • Research products and services, suppliers, pricing trends, cost drivers, and benchmarks.
  • Ensure alignment with functional and procurement partners on goals, deliverables, prioritization, and timelines throughout the process.
  • Develop RFP Events on the ERP platform ensuring bidder engagement and clear product/service requirements.
  • Perform analysis in Excel, including complex datasets.
  • Draft negotiation plans including prioritized points and targets for financial and non-financial elements.
  • Document contracts ensuring clear requirements and performance standards, mitigating risks.
  • Balance multiple work efforts concurrently while supporting Procurement Business Partners on other projects.
  • Outline implementation plans for new Vendor products/services and track financial results to P/L.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints.
  • Use software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data analysis.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to procurement policies and procedures.
