About The Position

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Procurement Analyst I based in our Irvine, CA location. The Procurement Analyst I manages critical data for the Accounting team and provides tactical and analytical support for day-to-day operations. This person will take a lead role in proactively managing indirect procurement, suppliers punch out catalogs and monitoring open purchase orders. This role will assist generating purchase orders, receiving goods in the system, and timely submission of invoices. This role will also be responsible for providing analytical support for Accounting leadership, maintaining existing data models and dashboards and will frequently collaborate with key stakeholders such as Maintenance and IT. Furthermore, they will develop and monitor reports to reduce the number of past due invoices, ensuring we pay our suppliers on time to maintain excellent supplier relationships, as well as manage reports that help deliver operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, Analytics or related field.
  • Working knowledge or procurement and supplier management principles and general accounting practices.
  • Understanding of data analysis techniques for sourcing, spend analysis, and cost reduction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint, etc). Familiarity with ERP Systems of Oracle Cloud or similar ERP platforms

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for support departments to assist in all purchase order needs (creation, receiving, etc.)
  • Follow-up on aged POs (work with support departments to assist in processing POs to ensure timely payments to vendors)
  • Generate and deliver ad-hoc reporting and analysis (including, but not limited to, spend analysis and trends by expenditure categories and support departments)
  • Maintain and update the supplier master
  • Support the training of new associates given access to the procurement module
  • Actively develops procurement skill through training, project support and cross-functional learning opportunities (e.g. ERP projects)
  • Work with the Accounting Manager and support departments to deploy electronic workflow within the Oracle ERP platform (including, analysis of current workflow processes and training of support departments)
  • Reduce and recoup lost discounts by monitoring and administering monthly reports
