The Proctor Advanced Placement Test will monitor students during testing. This position involves coordinating testing activities with other professional staff, both school and non-school based, to maximize testing opportunities. The role may require working in a self-contained, team, department, itinerant capacity, or at a field work-site, as assigned. The proctor will request assistance from, and work with, resource personnel as needed, and participate in activities and staff meetings as required or assigned. Continuous communication with school administration, both written and oral, is essential to keep them informed of student(s) testing progress. The proctor will manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement and ensure that the classroom and/or testing environment is attractive, healthful, safe, and conducive to learning, with materials accessible to students and in good condition. Collaboration with other professionals, including guidance counselors and administrators, is necessary to carry out school-wide testing or related activities. Maintaining a confidential and secure testing environment is also a key responsibility.
