About The Position

Taney Engineering, a partner firm of HFW Company, is a full-service civil engineering and land survey company. We are a leader in land development and public works engineering, employing 60+ team members with diverse experience in commercial/industrial, energy, healthcare, public, residential and transportation engineering. We are looking for a full time Processor to assist a Project Coordinator in an administrative capacity with land development approvals, applications and filing. You’ll be an integral part of an engineering team and aid in the submittal process between different team members and departments. This position will help keep projects on schedule by preparing submittals, tracking the progress and following up with documenting plan submittals through to approval and communicating with clients and agencies. We are seeking an entry level candidate that will act personable and professionally. This person should have the capacity to enthusiastically learn the required documents and submittal packages as outlined by the agencies we work with. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good organizational habits will ensure you are successful in your role. Reasonable experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Outlook are expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and preferably 1 year of office administrative experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.
  • Proficient web user, navigating websites and downloading data and forms.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable driving around the Las Vegas valley area.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference would be given to a candidate with experience in a civil engineering or land development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Coordinator with various administrative responsibilities as assigned by the project manager and project coordinator.
  • Compiling land use application documents into submittal packages in accord with agency standards.
  • Scan and file small and large documents.
  • Email components of submittal packages to clients as required by them.
  • Assist in set up of project letters or other documents for the design team.
  • Process and document various types of plan submittal packages from inception to approval according to agency requirements and Taney procedures.
  • Attend submittal appointments as necessary.
  • Assist with pick up/drop off between clients and agencies as necessary during runner absence.
  • Follow up with agencies and utilities for submittal receipts and submittal status.
  • Coordinate online documents requisition or submission from governing agencies.
