About The Position

The position involves supplying product to be priced and ticketed, coordinating the processing of wares, and maintaining adequate production flow. Responsibilities include sorting footwear into various categories, testing and supplying processed electrical/mechanical items for sale, and assisting the truck driver in loading and unloading materials from the Goodwill truck. The work performed is to be within acceptable quality standards, and other related duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Good work habits, such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.
• Ability to respond appropriately to supervision.
• Adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards.

Responsibilities

• Supply product for production.
• Price and ticket product, separate, package, and inventory wares.
• Supply processed shoes to assure production quotas and deadlines are met.
• Perform quality and material control.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety.
• Keep sets and prices together.
• Separate toys, wares, glass, and seasonal items.
• Recognize use, style, value, saleable, salvage, trash, and seasonal items.
• Clean items when necessary.
• Bag or box salvage items.
• Mark everything that will leave the building clearly.
• Wrap necessary items.
• Test electrical/mechanical items and price or discard them.
• Direct obvious trash from box or pile.
• Box items to be shipped.
• Handle seasonal items as they come in and box for storage.
• Transport clothing, wares, etc. to sales floor.
