About The Position

The position involves supplying products to be priced and ticketed, coordinating the processing of wares, and maintaining an adequate flow of goods. Responsibilities include sorting footwear into various categories, testing and supplying processed electrical/mechanical items for sale, and assisting the truck driver in loading and unloading materials from the Goodwill truck. The role requires performing production activities as designated by the supervisor, ensuring quality and material control, and maintaining general housekeeping and safety standards. The work performed must meet acceptable quality standards, and other related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Good work habits, such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.
• Ability to respond appropriately to supervision.
• Adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards.

Responsibilities

• Supply product for production.
• Price and ticket product.
• Separate, package, and inventory wares.
• Supply processed shoes to assure production quotas and deadlines are met.
• Perform quality and material control.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety.
• Keep sets and prices together.
• Separate toys, wares, glass, and seasonal items.
• Clean items when necessary.
• Bag or box salvage items.
• Mark all items that will leave the building clearly.
• Wrap necessary items.
• Test electrical/mechanical items.
• Direct obvious trash from box or pile.
• Box items to be shipped.
• Handle seasonal items as they come in and box for storage.
• Assist truck driver and co-workers in loading and unloading the Goodwill truck.
• Transport clothing, wares, etc. to the sales floor.
