About The Position

Melaleuca is seeking a Processor for our formulation team in Idaho Falls. This full-time position involves weighing out and processing bulk products in accordance with all applicable SOPs, regulations, and procedures. The role offers a starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with additional benefits such as a longevity bonus, company profit sharing, and free company products. Requirements

  • Ability to learn and drive a standup forklift and a scissor lift safely.
  • Ability to work in and around high places.
  • Ability to weigh ingredients to the nearest 1/1000th of a pound.
  • Must be able to work with allergens (Milk, Soy, and Shellfish).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately with limited supervision.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs regularly.
  • Must work in tight spaces around processing equipment.
  • Must be able to work in varying conditions including hot, humid, and dusty environments.
  • Willingness to learn and follow all Plant Policies, Safety Policies, Procedures, and Regulations.
  • One year or more experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.
  • One year or more experience driving a forklift safely is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
  • Good mechanical understanding to disassemble and reassemble processing equipment.
  • Ability to learn and use an overhead crane safely.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Plant Policies, Safety Policies, Procedures and Regulations including FDA, FSMA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, Lock Out Tag Out, and Required PPE.
  • Utilize excellent technological skills to operate copiers, handheld scanners, and navigate programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, email, JDE, RFGen, and MasterControl.
  • Communicate effectively, including reading and following instructions and writing detailed explanations of work performed.
  • Maintain sanitation using compressed air, hot water, cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and vacuums.
  • Participate in meetings, safety programs, personal development, and company improvements.
  • Drive a forklift safely in tight spaces and high traffic areas.
  • Work well under pressure and multi-task as needed.
  • Create batches from raw ingredients to final blended stage with attention to detail.
  • Determine changes in ingredient color and consistency.
  • Clean up and dispose of expired ingredients and materials according to regulations.
  • Train and supervise new employees.
  • Take responsibility for inventory control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
