About The Position

The Processor position at Shank's Extracts involves performing essential processing duties to support the department team leader and manager. The role is focused on maintaining quality and safety standards while ensuring efficient production processes. The Processor will work in a team-oriented environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and contributing to the overall success of the production team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Food Safety Systems and HACCP Training for Processors.
• Familiarity with ERP software.
• Ability to understand and operate all available equipment in the Processing department.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills for conversions.
• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in meeting production schedules.
• Basic raw material knowledge and understanding of interactions between them.

Responsibilities

• Uphold company policies and procedures including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Process batches and ensure sanitation and cleanliness of the work area.
• Utilize ERP software to maintain job orders and monitor progress.
• Promote healthy communication between workers and management.
• Attend processing department meetings and contribute to team efforts.
• Maintain workflow by applying process steps and inventory control.
• Verify processing variables and monitor control points.
• Ensure operation of equipment and report issues as necessary.
• Analyze operating practices and recommend changes.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Verify job orders and measure ingredients for batch processing.
• Clean and sanitize equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Move raw materials and finished goods accurately in the ERP system.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Submit batch samples to the lab in a timely manner.
