About The Position

Goodwill is a mission-integrated organization funded by resalable goods, committed to keeping millions of pounds of donated items from landfills annually. Through the reselling of these items, Goodwill provides job readiness training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment. The Processing Worker I is responsible for sorting, cleaning, pricing, and stocking donated goods in a Goodwill store. This role also involves accepting donations, assisting on the sales floor as needed, and providing excellent customer service to donors and customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of recent experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Processor experience: Preferred
  • Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise famous brand names is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, Inspect, clean, price and tally donations produced for sales floor.
  • Pushes racks and carts to retail floor and assists in stocking the floor and pulling merchandise.
  • Opens and closes donations area.
  • Accepts and safeguards donations and keeps processing and donation areas in a clean, safe and organized manner.
  • Provides excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Assists truck helpers and drivers to load/unload trucks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
