About The Position

The Processing Team Lead at Northwest Ordinance Distilling is responsible for overseeing the procurement and receiving of bulk alcohol and sweeteners, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines, and managing the batching and blending processes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, with a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development. The Processing Team Lead will engage with the PDS development system, lead direct reports in skill development, and actively participate in cost-saving projects. The position operates on a rotating schedule from 6:45 PM to 7 AM.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
  • Experience with process/receiving activities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with beverage processing and associated equipment.
  • Experience in the Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall.
  • Experience with inventory control and budget processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee bulk alcohol and sweetener procurement and receiving, ensuring adherence to DOT and Hazmat regulations.
  • Supervise manual product batching, continuous inline blending skid operations, and filtration systems.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety policies and practices.
  • Engage with the PDS development system and manage personal development competencies.
  • Analyze and resolve product quality issues to avoid loss and ensure accuracy.
  • Meet internal customer service expectations related to product quality and compliance.
  • Lead or support cost savings projects focused on departmental metrics.
  • Provide leadership to Processing employees and create a team environment.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Understand and support the career goals of employees.
