Job Summary Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as machine operators, forklift operators, laborers, and plant and system operators. Requirements
- High school or GED equivalent, equal vocational training/certification, or equivalent experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs from ground level
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing/production experience preferred
- Knowledge of machine/industrial maintenance preferred
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
- Assign responsibilities to workers each shift
- Follow and enforce all safety regulations & LOTO procedures
- Attend weekly safety meetings
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
- Investigate and report test results
- Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to detect or assess problems
- Assisting in training new employees
- Clean-up of equipment and maintain the surrounding area, keeping them free of debris
- Monitor production process to ensure smooth operation of line(s)
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
