About The Position

The Processing Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for managing the production team and driving operational excellence. This position is ideal for candidates with proven management experience, who can oversee daily production, develop team members, and ensure high standards in efficiency, quality, and donor experience. The supervisor serves as a key point of leadership, coaching staff, resolving challenges, and setting the standard for performance, teamwork, and customer service in alignment with America's Thrift Stores Core Values.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in retail, production, or operational settings.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to handle challenges independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow and enforce instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Basic math, computer, and reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the production team to achieve daily and long-term goals.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to develop team members' skills.
  • Recognize and address performance issues promptly, ensuring accountability and growth.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Schedule team members effectively to meet labor needs and operational priorities.
  • Oversee all daily production processes, ensuring speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Conduct audits and quality control checks to maintain merchandise standards.
  • Manage inventory tracking systems and proactively address shortages or operational challenges.
  • Support the General Manager with sales, promotions, and operational initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent donor and customer interactions.
  • Address and escalate concerns to management when needed.
  • Foster a respectful, values-driven workplace culture that aligns with company standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for production operations in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Make operational decisions and guide the team in alignment with company policies.
  • Translate team feedback into actionable improvements to drive efficiency and engagement.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
  • Uphold loss prevention procedures and safeguard company assets and information.
