About The Position

Requirements

Ability to work the required shift of Friday-Sunday 5:30PM-5:30AM
Prior experience or knowledge in food manufacturing or food safety practices is preferred.
Mechanically inclined with experience operating or troubleshooting production machinery.
Ability to operate a forklift and high reach.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly.
Comfortable working in environments with hot water, cleaning chemicals, and wet or slippery floors.
Must wear non-slip to protected shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience or knowledge in food manufacturing or food safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, operate, and monitor extruders and slurry application machinery.
Operate popcorn processing machinery, mixers, fryers, sheeters, and product blenders.
Monitor product quality through direct testing and coordination with Quality Assurance personnel.
Retrieve raw materials needed for production.
Maintain complete, accurate, and legible records or log sheets as required.
Enter accurate component usage into the computer at the end of each shift.
Ensure safe and effective cleaning of all processing equipment according to established procedures and the master sanitation schedule.
Communicate with processing and packaging operators to maintain best product quality.
Train inexperienced employees assigned to processing.
Follow all safety rules, report unsafe equipment or practices to your supervisor, and adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Perform daily housekeeping of the work area.
