Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
  • Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and operate powered industrial vehicles
  • Good mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a plant production environment (preferably in drug, food, or beverage manufacturing)

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality and safety system
  • Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutritional products
  • Lift and handle raw ingredients during weighing, staging, and manufacturing processes
  • Operate scales, portable pumps, container rinsers, homogenizers
  • Perform hand cleaning, clean-in-place (CIP), cleaning-out-of-place (COP), and routine housekeeping
  • Interact with computer systems integrated into the manufacturing process and document steps per work orders and job procedures
  • Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurries for blending operations, heat treatment processes, and controlled weigh systems
  • Operate and monitor computer-controlled CIP systems for manufacturing equipment (e.g., tanks, heat treatment systems)
  • Receive and unload bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals
  • Be accountable for meeting compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures
