About The Position

The Processing Operator will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of equipment in the Terra Chips Processing Area. The goal is to ensure the production of safe, quality finished goods for consumers while adhering to safety, food safety, quality, cost, and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven strong safety record
• Ability to work well with other team members and management
• Ability to make simple math calculations and measurements
• Ability to read and speak basic English
• Bi-lingual with Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred
• Effective communication skills with coworkers and supervisors
• Possess manual dexterity to manipulate machinery
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis
• Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers
• Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
• Available to work overtime/weekend as needed

Responsibilities

• Supplying raw vegetables to the production line
• Monitoring vegetable size profile and taking action if needed
• Monitoring slice thickness and making adjustments as needed
• Monitoring fryer settings to ensure finished product is within moisture quality specifications
• Keeping up with housekeeping throughout the entire shift to stay within quality, food safety, and safety standards
• Cleaning fryers as needed to address oil quality issues
• Documenting equipment setpoints and performing quality checks
• Other duties as assigned
