About The Position

The Processing Manager is responsible for leading the Processing department, where medical claims (via patient /physician reimbursement), business reply cards (BRCs), and mail-in rebates are processed. The wide spectrum of responsibilities ensures that this role is challenging, professionally rewarding, and extremely important to our business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of leadership experience with progressive levels of responsibility
  • 3 years of Pharmacovigilance experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage a large service-oriented team
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with all levels of management and clients
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with insurance processing and medical terminology a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Processing Department in all aspects of our company’s processing requirements
  • Communicate staffing needs to the appropriate parties during peak seasons
  • Communicate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to the team and provide the necessary resources to ensure SLAs are met
  • Establish a performance culture within the Processing Department focused on individual team accountability and performance to set objectives
  • Collaborate with TrialCard’s internal and external customers to define and create business rules for claims processing
  • Develop, implement, and maintain department policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Monitor and ensure quality standards for all activities, implement actions to improve on quality for identified gaps
  • Forecasting for department business needs to meet client expectations
  • Investigate escalated issues and drive issues to necessary resolution
  • Identify and report pharmacovigilance information as required by client(s) (i.e., Adverse Events)
  • Request and implement reporting capabilities for productivity statistics relevant to measuring and improving team performance
  • Keep management abreast of concerns regarding the performance of the department
  • Coach, develop, and mentor direct reports
  • Provide business requirement and guidance for scoping of new business
  • Adhere to internal and external compliance requirements for Processing
