About The Position

Opal Foods is currently searching for a Processing Plant Manager for our Neosho, Missouri School Farm location. 

The purpose of this role is to manage egg processing operations. The position will provide direction and supervision to processing team members in order to achieve quality, safety and operational goals. This position will responsible for day-to-day operations and overall processing results for assigned locations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage team members including strong communication skills.
• Must have mechanical understanding with ability to trouble shoot basic mechanics and ability to guide processing maintenance technicians.
• Must be a hands and interactive manager willing to teach/train team members.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, relevant course of studies.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write in Spanish.
• 5 plus years’ progressive experience in egg processing or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead site processing operations in obtaining goals.
• Monitor and coach processing team members in order to make them successful in assigned tasks.
• Responsible for time card review and team member performance management for assigned location(s).
• Lead safety program initiatives for assigned location(s).
• Lead bio-security program initiatives for assigned location(s).
• Oversee regulatory compliance related to assigned location(s).
• Implementation and monitoring of quality programs.
• Constantly look for opportunities to make processes more efficient and in alignment with overall organizational goals.
• Collect and review data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee processing maintenance activities at assigned location(s).
• Other duties and projects as needed to support operational objectives
