About The Position

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Maintenance Processing Group Leader - 3rd Shift Rate is $43.57 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies). Group Leader is responsible for overseeing and directing the crew performing troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership ability. Lead by Example.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety. Knowledge of GMPs.
  • Must be able to fulfill physical functional requirements of position per ADA
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy.
  • Multitask and decision make.

Nice To Haves

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of previous maintenance experience.
  • Welding skills including: arc, tig, mig, and sanitary welding.
  • Ability to design, layout and fabricate.
  • Ability to read blue prints and P&ID drawing.
  • Ability to work well with outside contractors.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform work in a safe and organized manner.
  • Knowledge of proper safe use of hand tools.
  • Must have the ability to complete all assigned paperwork, per assignment.
  • Must have electrical experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily scheduled plan is being followed and facilitated.
  • Ensure all Maintenance Techs have achieved 80% of their planned work hours for their shift.
  • Performs area walk through of dept to ensure daily work is being conducted.
  • This includes tracking of repairable(s) and the disposition process.
  • At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures.
  • Responsible for providing direction to the crew and equipment in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Responsible for fabrication or modification of equipment to Leprino specs and standards.
  • Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment.
  • Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable.
  • Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable.
  • Responsible for all repairs to plant equipment. Able to prioritize work.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
