Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. The processing lead technician will work as a part of and lead a team through satellite arrival, offload, and electrical testing operations. The candidate’s responsibilities include forklift, pallet jack, and crane operations; work with electrical harnessing and test racks to verify satellite health upon arrival at the launch site; and provide coaching to team members related to the work zone processes. Additionally, the processing lead technician will validate test data to confirm compliance with requirements. The individual will work closely with engineering and other launch operations and satellite manufacturing teams. This role is for 2nd shift but upon hiring/onboarding, the candidate will work 1st shift to train and onboard before transition to 2nd shift. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a highly technical, fast-paced, and collaborative setting; is able to follow technical work instructions; and lead a team through processing operations.
