About The Position

The Production Worker role at Jack Link's Protein Snacks involves efficiently and safely preparing and processing raw materials for cooking or packaging finished products for shipment. This position is essential in maintaining production schedules, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety and operational standards in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of warehouse and assembly line experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Ensure product conforms to specifications.
  • Prevent and minimize rework and/or inedible products.
  • Operate taping machines, shrink wrap machines, and pallet jacks as required.
  • Perform standard operating procedures of production and inspection functions as directed.
  • Complete all necessary technical and soft skills training as directed.
  • Return from breaks in a timely manner and notify supervisors before leaving the department.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork as directed.
  • Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Report all accidents and deficiencies to supervisors immediately.
  • Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance quality of support activities.
  • Perform all duties within OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
  • Keep record of products used to follow FIFO (first in - first out).
  • Add ingredients to batch and verify against formulations in the Blending system.
  • Move meat into machines and/or combos using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Load meat racks and visually monitor meat for quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and sanitize carts, racks, and trucks.
