About The Position

The Process Technician at Logoplaste in Lima, OH is responsible for managing mold and machine processes, ensuring quality standards are met for production. This role involves setting up production molds, troubleshooting processes, and training employees, all while adhering to safety and quality protocols.

Requirements

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical area
• Recognized certification or education in related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of PET, SPC, plastics, electrical, electronic hydraulics, mechanical and pneumatic functions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with downtime analysis and scrap reduction
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring and inspection equipment
• Good working knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office and SAP
• Ability to effectively communicate technical system issues

Nice To Haves

• Experience with lean manufacturing processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean environment with heat above 90 degrees

Responsibilities

• Sets up and runs production molds
• Makes required mold changes/process adjustments and completes color changes as required
• Assures that the performance of all new and existing molds meet engineering and production standards
• Responsible for processes that produce bottles and/or preforms to the specifications determined by the Quality team
• Ensures all molds and molding machines run
• Troubleshoots molding processes and cycles
• Analyzes problem areas when parts are not meeting Quality specifications
• Troubleshoots equipment, ancillary equipment, and support equipment and partners with maintenance as required
• Maintains and completes all necessary reports and records
• Trains employees to ensure they are able to do their job with success
• Complies with all company safety policies and procedures and maintains good housekeeping and GMP practices/Global Food Safety practices
• Communicates with management on mold and machine problems
