About The Position

The position involves overseeing the daily operations of a production cell, ensuring safety and efficiency while maintaining product quality. The individual will be responsible for coordinating daily functions, communicating with shift personnel, and implementing company policies consistently. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues, as well as maintaining accurate production documentation. Leadership skills are essential for motivating team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with shop safety rules and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate daily cell functions to ensure efficient operation of production equipment and personnel utilization while maintaining product quality.
• Cooperate with Process Technicians on adjacent shifts for efficient turnover of operations.
• Communicate daily with all shift personnel and the Operations Manager.
• Implement company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
• Complete job-related reports and documentation in a timely manner, including production reports and machine setups.
• Identify potential problems with machinery and processes, using the blue and red tag system for repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems to minimize downtime and inefficiency.
• Develop a team spirit and motivate employees and temporary personnel for maximum performance.
• Maintain setup sheets and log process changes during production.
• Set up processes including mold, press, and auxiliary equipment for production.
• Make process adjustments and monitor cycle times to keep scrap rates low.
• Direct employees and contract personnel from other departments as needed.
• Cooperate with other departments to ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
• Input and ensure accuracy of production data in the company's tracking system.
• Document required in-process data, including control charts and process deviations.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.
• Conduct light maintenance on equipment.
• Perform related work as required.
