About The Position

The Process Technician II is responsible for setting up, monitoring, and adjusting blow molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products according to specifications. The position ensures production runs meet customer requirements, safety standards, and company performance goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and other instructions.
  • Ability to use small hand tools, power tools and other basic industrial equipment safely & effectively.
  • Forklift certification and experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in non-climate controlled environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of blow mold process, machine operation, and programming with ability to calibrate machines, review specifications, and verify conformance.
  • Experience in mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and control systems).
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities to identify and resolve product and process issues.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Follow work order instructions and production schedules.
  • Properly clean and prepare blow mold machines for new product runs, including loading programming and verifying settings when machine or tooling adjustments are conducted.
  • Calibrate programmer and “zero out” the machine to ensure accurate machine performance and measurements.
  • During the set-up process, will change or reset the mold.
  • Identify raw material requirements and coordinate with appropriate departments to load material.
  • Check material levels (color, regrind, and resin) throughout the shift, at each machine, against the work order; adjusting as needed.
  • Operate a forklift to transport and maintain appropriate material levels for shift production runs.
  • Troubleshoot production issues using root cause analysis and make necessary advanced machine and tooling adjustments to maintain production while meeting quality specifications.
  • Monitor and maintain cycle times, product weight, and regrind percentages.
  • Clear grinders, fill heads, and perform shift-change checks.
