About The Position

This role is part of the Engineering leadership team, providing direct support in the execution and implementation of high-impact initiatives. The focus is on the introduction of new products and technologies, as well as the enhancement of existing operations and processes. Responsibilities are aligned with key plant performance indicators: Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SPQDC).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certification in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial technology preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a process technician, machine technician, or similar role in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing equipment, robotics, and automated systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidates will hold a two-year or complete degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, or related discipline). Applicants currently pursuing their degree in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operating systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Conversational English required.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Support builds by validating Process Readiness, Machinery, Tooling, and Documentation.
  • Validate Cycle Times and Takt Time alignment for New Processes and Engineering Scope Changes.
  • Deploy and Coordinate Engineering and Process Changes with line support staff.
  • Ensure proper Material Routing and generation of Visual Work Instructions.
  • Assist in the implementation of Machinery and Equipment, including documentation, handover, and issue closure.
  • Participate daily in Gemba walks and escalate build-impacting issues.
  • Support Pilot Builds and contributes to report generation and data analysis.
  • Facilitate Drawings, Deviation, VWIs and Documentation needed for Pilot Build support.
  • Set up machinery and equipment for new builds.
  • Generate Hardware List and validate availability with supplier in preparation for Pilot Builds.
  • Execute BOMs validation, CV Scans Setup and Material Routings.
  • Conduct time and motion studies based on Lean Standard Work.
  • Perform Line Balancing and Labor Calculation.
  • Identify Bottlenecks and implement solutions to Improve Throughput.
  • Validate and document downtime generated by Builds.
  • Drive process improvements in coordination with line support staff.
  • Develop Layouts and set up workstations for new builds.
  • Workplace Organization - Visual Management and 5Ss.
  • Part Presentation, PFEP & Home for Every Part.
  • Support the definition and execution of material replenishment.
  • Training Operators on New Processes, Tools, and Assemblies.
  • Follow-Up on Safety Incidents and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support implementation of Safety Improvements.
