As Process Technician for 3rd shift you will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of mechanical and robotic equipment and machines. Coordination of repairs to align with production timelines, considering the availability of machines, materials, and workforce. An advanced level of troubleshooting is required. Requirements

  • Technical school, bachelor’s degree or other related training in related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulated field.
  • Experience working in manufacturing plant environment
  • Experience reading mechanical, electrical, and P&IDs.
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Suite.
  • Weekend and off-shift work may be required to support production demands.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays, is essential to ensure consistent manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing plant and cleanroom environment for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable reaching overhead and climbing ladders or steps to access equipment or perform maintenance tasks.
  • Regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch, or kneel to access hard-to-reach areas during inspections or repairs.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with controlled air quality and follow gowning and hygiene protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and goggles.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work long hours, including shifts, weekends, or emergencies as needed.
  • Ability to work in temperature-controlled cleanrooms and occasionally in non-controlled environments within the facility.
  • Capacity to respond quickly and effectively to equipment malfunctions or plant emergencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in biotech manufacturing, a GMP facility and/or ISO 13485 environment, preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary source of contact for the 3rd shift team; day-to-day service of production equipment
  • Provides mechanical support for production machines by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and executing necessary repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Prepares detailed reports and logs to inform department management, production operations, and all shifts of ongoing repairs, issues, and potential solutions.
  • Conducts line changeovers, performing required set-up and adjustments according to the production schedule.
  • Assists the Engineering team with equipment installations and modifications.
  • Performs preventative maintenance inspections, including oiling, lubrication, and routine equipment checks.
  • Maintain training and quality requirements set forth by the business.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work with vendors.
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules and allocate resources effectively to maximize line output
  • Adheres to company safety and quality guidelines and ensures direct reports are following those guidelines.
  • Escalation of maintenance issues and potential events to the Senior Manager of maintenance and other related key members.
  • Promote a collaborative and customer service-oriented team environment.
