This position will work the night shift, 6pm – 6am, Thursday - Saturday including every alternating Wednesday. We are looking for a Process Technician to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Principal Yield Engineer and based in Fremont, CA . This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); technical certifications or relevant coursework with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or related environment.
  • Hands on experience in thin-film processes
  • Hands on experience with operating and troubleshooting of high precision machinery
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to technical issues.
  • Ability to follow direction, meet deadline, and collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skill set
  • Adhere to safety requirements and ability to work in controlled environment wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Provide off-shift coverage (evenings and/or weekends) of all process engineering activities across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing.
  • Respond promptly to production line down scenarios, such as measurements out of spec, defects observed at automated visual inspection or manual visual inspection, defects on incoming parts, etc.
  • Assess the situation, determine root cause, and adjust parameters to return process under control and resume volume production.
  • Document activities appropriately.
  • Understand and react to abnormal events and coordinate containment and countermeasure activities in a cross functional environment
  • Communicate clearly to co-workers and send out daily reports to team
  • Ensure work meets or exceeds company workmanship standards.
  • Continuously improve efficiency.
