This opportunity has the responsibility for supporting complex program launches, as well as review current programs and machines for improving production efficiency. This role is ideal for those with extensive process engineering experience in the injection molding industry.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
3-5 years experience in troubleshooting injection molding preferred.
Must be experienced in mold set-ups and troubleshooting.
Must be willing to stay current with technology through continuous education.
Working knowledge of plant machinery, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatic preferred.
Experience in thermoplastic injection molding required.
Knowledge of injection mold machines, tools, plastics, and robotics
This position may involve physical activity such as bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and sitting for long periods of time, in addition to lifting up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

Robotics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safety first mindset. Ensure all safety features are functioning, such as drop bar and safety switches.
Maximize uptime on all machine centers with the objective of reducing and eliminating downtime.
Set molds, startup and troubleshoot injection molding process.
Document all process parameters on documents to the Master Setup Sheets.
Ensure all process parameters and mold protection settings meet process specifications.
Make necessary adjustments to prevent part defects.
Respond to all Quality and Operator issues regarding parts and processes.
Maintain and improve manufacturing efficiencies.
Drive reduction of scrap through elimination of mold conditions using corrective action and mold maintenance forms.
Maintain a neat and clean environment at all times.
Identify maintenance concerns/issues and assist with resolution.
Participate in mold change activities to reduce downtime and to increase uptime and throughput.
Assist with training Process Technicians and Operators as needed.
