About The Position

Process Technician – Overnight shift Position Details Employment Type: Full-time Shift: 3rd Hours: Sun-Thurs, 11:45pm to 8:15am What You’ll Do Operate and set up injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment, ensuring processes follow validated parameters, safety procedures, and quality standards. Perform machine startups, verify process settings, complete required documentation, and troubleshoot part or equipment issues using root cause analysis and scientific molding principles. Conduct thorough product inspections, maintain consistent product quality, and communicate equipment or mold problems to maintenance or engineering teams. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to develop, validate, and improve molding processes, including DOE work, CAPA activities, and establishing master process documentation. Support continuous production by resolving basic mold/secondary equipment issues and assisting coworkers during breaks or callouts. Maintain a clean, safe work environment, follow all health, safety, GMP, and PPE requirements, and reliably work flexible shifts and overtime. Contribute to process development initiatives, mold benchmarking, tool design input, and ongoing improvements to molding capability and efficiency.

Requirements

  • A High School or Vo-Tech School graduate and 3+ years of experience as a manufacturing process technician and/or related training and experience in mold development.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the molding process, injection mold tooling, and RJG cavity pressure monitoring systems.
  • Thorough understanding of scientific molding principles, and IQ-OQ-PQ validation process.
  • Certification: RJG certified

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DELMIAWorks (formerly IQMS) Manufacturing software.
  • Prior work experience in an ISO 90001/13485 environment.
  • Experience in both Injection and extrusion molding equipment and production processes.
