About The Position
The Process Technician supports commissioning and start-up activities related to process and power systems, including both static and dynamic commissioning tasks. This role works closely with the Process Commissioning Lead and Supervisor. WSG Energy Services is seeking a Process Technician to support commissioning and start-up activities for an urgent 40MW temporary power project in Texas, with anticipated transition into a larger 200MW power generation project.
Requirements
- Process operations background in power or industrial environments
- 2+ years commissioning, start-up, or operations experience
- Strong understanding of process systems and safe operating practices
Responsibilities
- Participate in all safety programs and operational readiness activities
- Ensure permits, isolations, and procedures are followed
- Support static and dynamic commissioning activities
- Assist with system start-up, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Conduct walkdowns, punch list verification, and check sheet completion
- Support vendor activities and field operations
- Assist with PSSR and system handover documentation
- Participate in dynamic commissioning and operational testing
