About The Position

-Starts, operates and stops various types of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and computer equipment by established standards and specifications. - Implements corrective action for various types of processes and equipment when an out-of-control situation occurs. - Operates various types of analytical equipment within established methods, standards and specifications. - Gathers and records process data from various types of instrumentation. - Maintains equipment, tools and company property within established standards and specifications. - Provides assistance to the receiving/shipment/inventory of materials. - Participates in all required training programs. - Assists in the activities of contractors, maintenance crews and others who may be performing work at the facility. - Performs required work necessary for isolation of equipment such as pumps, vessels, lines, etc. - Monitors appropriate quality assurance equipment within the process and takes appropriate steps to eliminate product quality nonconformance. - Responsible for the final packaging of products within the established quality specifications and standards. - Responsible for the safe and environmentally compliant operation of all facility equipment and adherence to all safety measures as established within the operating procedures and standards. - Continuously seeks ways to improve performance of our plant's operation and ensures that your customer's (both internal and external) needs are met. Adhere to the quality system.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree in Process Technology or equivalent experience in a chemical plant/refinery environment; must possess good math, problem solving skills and computer skills.
General knowledge of distillation and reaction processes, chemical hazards, OSHA and EPA regulations and mechanical equipment preferred.
Must be able to work changing shifts and work schedules, work overtime as required, and work with minimal supervision.
High School diploma or GED, chemistry and math proficiency required.
