The Process Technician role at ExxonMobil's Joliet Refinery involves the safe and efficient operation of plant processing equipment. Safely perform duties with strict adherence to procedures and company policy.
Take ownership of personal safety and the safety of co-workers and the community.
Physically inspect and monitor equipment and/or the work area to ensure correct operation.
Operate and maintain unit equipment, including pumps, compressors, and furnaces.
Perform routine maintenance on unit equipment, including pumps and small piping.
Conduct operator surveillance rounds, record data, and take unit product samples for analysis.
Troubleshoot and correct process-related issues.
Perform primary emergency response duties.
Become a Fire Brigade member for a minimum of 2 years.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Currently possess or be able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Able and willing to work shift work (12-hour rotating shifts), weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
Able and willing to work at heights above 25 feet.
Able and willing to work in confined spaces.
Able and willing to work both independently in remote locations and in a team environment.
Able to join the Refinery Fire Brigade for a minimum of 2 years.

Desire and ability to be a leader in personal safety.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
