The Process Technician is primarily responsible for supporting the manufacturing operations. The process technician is the first line of defense in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing problems. The technician will work closely with process engineers to optimize and improve manufacturing processes based on a data driven approach.

  • Monitors manufacturing processes and materials used in processes.
  • Performs troubleshooting and analysis to solve manufacturing problems.
  • Performs root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
  • Analyzes defects to prioritize process improvements and insures processes are in control.
  • Works with process engineers to improve process equipment capability.
  • Routinely perform moderately-complex to complex processes experiments and practices according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform time studies, data collection, and machine setup and adjustment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of critical process equipment.
  • Required to know, comprehend, and develop process step details.
  • Training staff on equipment, procedures, and processes, as needed.
  • Respond efficiently to both internal and external customers
  • Keep in line with company accredited certifications and safety policy
  • Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum Experience: 2-5 years experience in technical role
  • Must possess excellent time management and communication skills
  • Basic Word for Windows skills as evidenced by the ability to produce basic business letters and simple tables and charts; as well as check spelling, set tabs, change page orientation, sort, save, open and organize electronic files.
  • Basic Excel skills as evidenced by the ability to use workbooks, create simple formulas, insert and delete data, create and edit charts, filter and sort lists, and format data.
  • Basic Microsoft Powerpoint skills as evidenced by the ability to create and save a presentation, add titles, edit and delete slides, reordering slides, applying slide masters, checking spelling, and adding clip art.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
  • Vision, speech, hearing, smell and touch are routinely used in day to day functions
  • Experience or understanding of DOE and DFM is a plus
