About the role: Boston Scientific is looking for a highly motivated technician who will be responsible for measurement development, programming and equipment selection. This position will also work with process engineers to identify process improvements and assist with process qualifications and validations. Work Mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at five days per week.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience with a high school diploma/degree/equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in metrology or process development.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause investigation skills.
  • Experience with Process Verification and Validation (PV&V).
  • Background in medical devices or other regulated industries.
  • Proven success working cross-functionally in a technical environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inspection strategies for a wide range of medical device components and prototypes.
  • Program and optimize measurement systems, including Keyence IM, LM, VR, VK, OGP Smartscope, and Hexagon CMM and other systems as needed.
  • Design and validate new inspection methods; document and maintain test method procedures.
  • Drive the technical development of new measurement equipment and tools to support future team growth.
  • Analyze measurement data using Minitab and summarize findings in technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing measurement programs and inspection methods.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop capable processes and ensure efficient transfer of new products into production.
  • Present experimental results and technical recommendations at design and process reviews.
