About The Position

Job Title: Process Tech III Reports To: Department Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt 2nd Shift Hours: 2:15pm-11:45pm Overtime required based on production need. $18.50/hour Guaranteed $0.50 raise after 90 days. Operates mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties: Other duties may be assigned. Verifies ingredients prior to mixing batches. Loads ingredients into mixing tank and/or blender. Starts machine and adjusts valves and devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture. Verifies the In-Process Spec sheet and production paperwork is being followed. Uses tablet to ensure production goals are successfully being met. Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency, and turns lever or pushes button to unload mixture into kettles, pick system, totes, drums, and/or hoppers. Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blender, and/or hopper. Performs job duties of the Total Quality Lead and other Process Techs in their absence. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer or tablet.
  • Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
  • Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
  • Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Talk and hear
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
