The Process Supervisor is responsible for management of unionized workers in the manufacture of food products (sugar).
Direct sugar refining operations on designated shift.
Direct teams of specialized employees ensuring good manufacturing practices, GMP and safe operating procedures.
Achieve standard production volume, quality standards, and regulatory compliance through the supervision of hourly personnel (up to 30) on rotating shifts.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Minimum of 5 years of successful supervisory experience in a food or pharmaceutical production environment.
3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food or chemical industry.
Industrial food processing experience preferred.
Knowledge of proper operation of Affirmation & Melting, Carbonatation, Char & Carbon Filtration, Boiling of White, Remelt & Soft Sugar, Spinning of White, Soft, and Recovery sugars, Conditioning and Drying of white sugars, Liquid sugar manufacturing.
Ability to achieve results through subordinates in an organized labor environment.
Ability to work effectively with subordinates, peers, and supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, ability to be proactive and self-directed.
Must be physically able to navigate throughout the manufacturing area.
Be in good physical condition and available for rotating shifts and weekend work.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to operate a computer.
