About The Position

The position involves designing, integrating, or improving manufacturing systems or related processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to implement effective solutions that drive efficiency and quality in production.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for design and production.
  • Experience taking processes from start-up to full production.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule to run trials for manufacturing and facilitate training for all three shifts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, CAMS (AS400), and SAP.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of process improvement and manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) communication and presentation abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Improve flow through of manufacturing equipment to improve efficiencies including developing and implementing process specs, procedures for operators, and establishing best practices for control standards.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
  • Train production personnel in new or existing methods.
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
