About The Position

The Production Specialist supports production process and works to enhance operations by improving yields, reducing waste, lowering cycle times, and reducing overall operational costs while insuring the safety of all involved.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
1-3 years previous manufacturing facility experience required
Must be able to work flexible hours and on call 24/7
Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
Ability to operate hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with the operation office equipment such as fax, copier, printers, telephone, etc.
Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Teamwork, Customer Focused, Excellence and Trust

Two year technical school preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor processes and make adjustments as needed to improve yields, reduce waste, lower cycle times, and reduce overall operational costs. Investigate causes of defects
Develop operating procedures as necessary.
Review procedures and processes and make adjustments as needed to improve operations
Train operations employees in the manufacturing process, oversee work efforts
Evaluate processing equipment for proper functioning. Make adjustments and repairs as needed to adjust or fix equipment
Set up processes during prototype development
Regular and predictable attendance
Work cooperatively with others
Work with customers on quality issues
Work with suppliers on cost and quality issues as needed
Generate and maintain appropriate records as required
