About The Position

S&B is currently seeking a Process Engineer to assist with routine assignments that are clearly defined and utilize established design techniques, procedures, and criteria under close supervision. These activities are initiated, guided, and reviewed by more experienced specialists and engineers.

Requirements

• Normally requires at least a four-year degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Requires a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Process design or related functional area (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
• Limited experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.
• Performs detailed process calculations.
• Participates in process safety reviews.
• Prepares designs of specific components and equipment.
• Prepares operational drawings and design sketches.
• Prepares routine technical reports.
• Gathers and relays information between various engineering departments.
• Participates in plant start-ups.
