About The Position

GSK is currently looking for an Process Safety Engineer who will lead the programmatic management compliant with OSHA Process Safety Management and other applicable external and GSK internal regulations in the New England Region. Actively promotes success of the Process Safety Management program through continual collaboration with site functional and corporate SME network. Responsibilities: This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Responsible for the application of GSK safety and environmental guidelines related to Process Safety. Leads hazard assessments such as HAZOP and HAZID to assist lifecycle management of PSM covered processes and equipment. Interpret regulation and corporate expectations into site policy and procedures. Facilitate the deployment and management of the OSHA PSM, EMA RMP, and GSK 5.13 programs. Develop personal Process Safety Engineering skills and expertise and share that knowledge with others in the organization. Responsible for Technical Writing, Formal Process Safety Training and Incident Investigations, PHIRA. Fundamental principles of Basis of Safety for operations. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor’s degree in Science or engineering 3+ years experience in Process Safety Management Experience with either: FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Technical Drawings, Technical Writing, Formal Process Safety Training, PHIRA. Experience in Process Safety principles in design, operation and change management of plant and equipment. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience with Technology Transfers, Technical Risk Assessments, and Product Control Strategies. Clear awareness of process safety risks. • If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $111,375 to $185,625. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or engineering
