About The Position

Micron is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Process Quality Technician to help uphold the integrity of cleanroom environments and support high-tech manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting systems and instrumentation critical to contamination control-including Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems, chemical delivery, fab ambient conditions, process tools, and wafer environments. You'll work closely with engineering, operations, facilities, and other technical teams to reduce production disruptions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field (or equivalent trade school/military experience)
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) and be willing to move to different shifts and work overtime to support business operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely handling gases and chemicals in a controlled environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hands-on experience working in a laboratory or cleanroom environment.
  • Intermediate level understanding of statistics and an ability to make informed decisions using statistical data.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom principles, airflow dynamics, filtration, AMC, ESD, ionization, and analytical testing methods.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance and reliability of contamination control systems, including cleanroom, UPW, chemical delivery, and process tool environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in complex instrumentation and equipment, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Execute detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment to improve uptime and system stability.
  • Perform calibration and analytical testing using particle counters, ionization equipment, and other specialized tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, calibrations, and repairs in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Identify and reduce equipment defects, propose solutions to enhance quality, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Partners with Operations, Facilities, Gas/Chemical Technicians, Engineers, and Leaders to resolve issues and support production needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, contamination control guidelines, and clean room requirements.
