Micron is seeking a motivated, detail-focused Process Quality Technician to ensure the integrity of cleanroom environments and support advanced manufacturing operations. In this role, you will monitor, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot systems and instruments essential to contamination control—such as Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems, chemical delivery equipment, fab ambient controls, process tools, and wafer environments. Your responsibilities will include applying established principles and techniques related to cleanroom design, airflow dynamics, filtration, AMC control, ESD prevention, ionization, particle counting, analytical testing, and the calibration and upkeep of associated instrumentation. You will work closely with shift MDE teams, Operations, Facilities, Gas/Chemical Technicians, Engineers, and leadership to minimize production impact and maintain a stable manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Associate degree in a STEM related field (or equivalent trade school/military experience)
  • This position requires the flexibility to work night shifts on a 12‑hour compressed schedule (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off).
  • Requires at least 1 year of experience applying chemistry, statistics, and algebraic concepts

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing lab or cleanroom setting.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience performing sample collection and laboratory analysis.
  • Experience of at least two years calibrating lab/clean room devices and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required safety training and follow Micron safety policies carefully.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Handle gases and chemicals safely in controlled environments.
  • Stop working immediately upon noticing any unsafe conditions.
  • Oversee the performance and reliability of contamination control systems, including cleanroom, UPW, chemical delivery, and process tool environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in complex instrumentation and equipment, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Complete detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment to improve uptime and system stability.
  • Perform calibration and analytical testing using particle counters, ionization equipment, and other specialized tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, calibrations, and repairs in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Identify and reduce equipment defects, propose solutions to enhance quality, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Partners with Operations, Facilities, Gas/Chemical Technicians, Engineers, and Leaders to resolve issues and support production needs.
