About The Position

The successful candidate is detail-oriented and disciplined in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and PPAP documentation. This role requires the ability to travel to factories and contract manufacturers to support quality issue resolution and ensure compliant, repeatable manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience with Quality Control documentation
  • or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of Quality Control documentation experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AIAG processes
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing environments for plastics, metals, or electronics
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to review engineering drawings and validate PPAP elements

Responsibilities

  • Manage PPAPs and status at internal factories and contract manufacturers (CMs), identify PPAP gaps, inconsistencies, and risks, and drive corrective actions to closure
  • Perform thorough, element-by-element PPAP reviews, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Review methodically ballooned drawings, dimensional results, and all supporting PPAP documentation
  • Support or conduct internal factory or contract manufacturer (CM) audits
  • Manage process certification activities for finished goods, assemblies and factory‑produced components
  • Support continuous improvement activities at factories and CMs
  • Evaluate and support approval of factory and CM process changes
  • Support manufacturing readiness activities
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAIs) as required
  • Manage, track, and verify the effectiveness of 8D corrective actions issued to factories and contract manufacturers
