About The Position

The Process Planner & Purchaser at Hyperion Materials & Technologies is responsible for managing shop folders, inventory, and procurement processes to ensure a seamless supply of materials and services to the production team. This role focuses on maintaining quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness while supporting the process planning and shipping departments. The position requires effective communication and organizational skills to manage documentation and inventory efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience recording inventories preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal, in support of internal and external customers.
• Competent with computers, databases, and ERP systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create shop folders with supporting documentation.
• Pull assigned stock items from inventory.
• Close all Dura-Metal (DM) numbered folders with a Process Planner 'opened' status.
• Organize and file all closed folders.
• Inventory various products in Excel from various sign-out sheets.
• Assist the Process Planning Team and the Shipping Department.
• Assist with the year-end inventories of products and supplies.
• Expedite and adjust purchase orders to accommodate changes in the production plan.
• Ensure compliance with Hyperion's global procurement policy.
• Ensure satisfaction of internal stakeholders by providing quality and timely buying services and assistance.
• Support development and implementation of local sourcing strategies.
• Update and manage spend data in ERP and other applicable systems according to policies and procedures.
