Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in process planning or technical writing.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • CAD familiarity and ability to navigate 3D models.
  • Experience creating visual instructions.
  • A passion for excellent documentation and user experiences.
  • Clear and persuasive writing and in-person communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using, evaluating, and implementing modern software and automation tools for technical writing.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments including writing work instructions and process diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with users and cross-functional teams to identify documentation needs and gaps in understanding.
  • Craft clear and engaging materials that empower front-line decision makers.
  • Set the tone and quality for all written artifacts and build infrastructure for scalable documentation.
  • Create clear and concise work instructions for the technician workforce.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders throughout all phases of product development.
  • Constantly work to improve the planning that skilled labor consumes.
  • Develop, capture, and refine new tools, processes, techniques, and capabilities.
  • Produce user guides, release notes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Contribute to developing style guides and refining the review process.
