About The Position

The Process Optimization & Training Advisor will own training content and workforce capability while partnering with Engineering to define, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes in our production facility. You’ll translate complex technical concepts into role ready training, standardize procedures and visual work instructions, and build a robust ecosystem of SOPs, certifications, and skills matrices that improve safety, quality, and throughput. Success in this role requires a proactive, highly organized individual committed to developing effective training solutions within a composites focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience in training content development or hands-on training in a production environment with a strong technical aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Team player, ready and able to jump in and assist where needed.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-On experience in composite laminating or technical productions processes.
  • Experience with LMS platforms.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Assess existing SOPs and training documents to ensure they are accurate, complete, and aligned with current manufacturing practices, collaborating with document authors, SMEs, and Training Specialists to gather technical information and translate it into effective training solutions.
  • Produce and edit multimedia content and other visual assets including graphics, videos, audio and simulations to enhance learner engagement.
  • Work in close coordination with the Training Manager and collaborate with Training Developers and Training Specialists to facilitate cross training and strengthen the team’s instructional capabilities.
  • Support the ongoing administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace policies at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals and initiatives.
  • Partner with R&D/Manufacturing/Quality Engineering to create and update SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams, and Checklists aligned to ISO 9001/AS9100, Fibreworks Composites standards, and customer requirements.
  • Work with production supervisors and department managers to build a structured, competency driven career progression path.
  • Provide input and support for staff training on new and existing processes, including documentation for training supervisors.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Design, lead, and own continuous improvement initiatives driven by new customer process specifications to build long-term organizational capability.
  • Develop proposals for senior leadership to secure alignment, resources and support for continuous improvement project implementation.
  • Support qualification and process validation; capture best practices and standardize.
  • Leverage Lean/6S/Kaizen and basic SPC concepts; incorporate lessons from nonconformance, scrap, and yield analytics into updated training and job aids.
  • Coordinate with Management, Production, and Quality to ensure First Article/First Pass Yield readiness for new or modified processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
